CIRCLE NEWS

Monday, 27 November 2017

Tamilnadu Circle Executive committee Meeting was held on 25th and 26th November 2017 in Karaikudi successfully. Our Circle President Com.V.Ramarao presided over the meeting and conducted all events very efficiently.Very good and elaborate arrangements were made by Karaikudi Comrades. Rooms (with bath and toilet facilities) were allotted for two members. Food served was with good flavour and carried the traditional taste of Chettinadu.
Chennai Telephone District Circle Secretary Com.M.Govindarajan said with pride that their Circle  union is functioning with 14 Branches with 2800 members and almost all are Life Time Members.
Com.DG told that Direct Transfer of Pension through DOT  for MTNL, the process is over and for BSNL all processes to be completed by December 2018. As a First they take some few states for implementation. There is one portal named " Pensioner Portal Grievance Cell " and if a case is registered, it would be settled within 60 days and told our members to visit that site frequently. Our Next All India Conference is to be held in Puri in Odisha state which has less than 1500 members. So it alone cannot meet the expenses to conduct the conference. So a small amount of Rs 50/- per member has to be collected for the AIC before April 2018.
Bank accounts are to be opened in the name of AIBSNLPWA ....District and to be operated jointly by Secretary and Treasurer.
Our Circle Vice President Com.Murugan has resigned his  post stating his poor health conditions and in his place Com.V.S.Muthukumaran of VLR district has been co optioned   and Com.S.Ramakrishnan has tendered his resignation due to his poor health and in that place Com.N.S.Dheenadayalan of STR division  has been co optioned.
Very fast information transfer of our association news, events and matters through Whatsapp groups and web sites was much lauded by many of our leaders. A  few photos of CEC Meeting are posted here and a link is also given to view some more photos.
The meeting has made a record of allowing more delegates of CHQ, Circle and District office bearers to  speak ( More than   40 office bearers spoke on the occasion ).
Finally our Circle Secretary Com.K.Muthiyalu replied all the queries and doubts raised by some delegates. In spite of his health conditions, he remained on dais through out the meeting is appreciable one. In his concluding address, he requested all to enroll more members especially Family Pensioners. Our members should go to their homes and explain our victories and make them enroll as Life Members.
It has been decided to conduct  Our next CEC in Pondicherry preferably  in April 2018.

NEWS FROM CIRCLE

Wednesday, 22 November 2017

TO JAGANNATH PURI.

The CWC meeting held at Patna on 11-12, November 2017 decided to hold the next All India conference of AIBSNLPWA at Puri, Odisha in September 2018. It is assessed that around 1500 Delegates will attend the AIC.
Being old, all the delegates have to be provided some room accommodation for four days with toilet facilities. One day before the conference and one day after. Conference will be for two days. Lodgings and other expenses will cost about Rs 24 lakh. Food expenses can be met with the delegate fee collected from Delegates and Visitors.
DELEGATE FEE.....For the last AIC it was Rs 800 per head. This time it will be Rs 1000 per head.
NUMBER OF DELEGATES:..... As per our Constitution, a district branch (Base unit) can send one delegate for every 50 members or part thereof. The membership of each branch will be calculated as
No. of Life members as on 31-3-2018 + three years’ average annual membership based on quota received by CHQ.
Annual membership Quota (Rs 25 per head for the financial year of April 2015 to March 2016), Rs 20 per head for the financial year of 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 shall be taken into account. CHQ will calculate the membership after 31-3-2018 and circulate.
PURI IS THE ATTRACTION:... Since the AIC is to be held in the temple city of Puri, large number of pensioners may be waiting to attend it. But we can not put too much burden on the Reception Committee. Hence, branches have to restrict the number as per constitution. Ensure that all branches pay the quota well in time so as to reach the CHQ before 31-3-2018.
This is advance information.
There is enough time.
