78.2% IDA MERGER

R. L. Kapoor met the Director (Estt) today and discussed the status of
78.2% case. It is understood that only Department of Pension has
conveyed their comments on the Cabinet Note. Department of Expenditure
(Finance ministry) had asked for some feedback. Their report is expected
within a week. No comments have so far been received from Law ministry
or Department of Public Enterprises.
The
time limit is over now. We appeal to the Department of Telecom to
submit the Cabinet Note to Cabinet Secretariat without waiting further
for the comments from these nodal ministries.
