Our leaders were given an assurance that a revised Cabinet Note will be

We are more happy that the ‘uncertainty’ in the matter has ended now.

EFFECTIVE MOVE BY OUR ASSOCIATION

As reported earlier, our AGS Com. Gangadhara Rao and Karnataka Circle Secretary Com. Changappa
are in New Delhi for few days. Before starting from Bangalore, they met Shri Anantha Kumar,
the Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers and sought his intervention to settle our issue
of 78.2% IDA. Shri Anantha Kumar kept his words and intervened in the matter very effectively
and efficiently. He collected all details from our leaders and understood the gross injustice done
to the BSNL pensioners.

Com. Natarajan (General Secretary) and Com. DG (Vice President) also reached New Delhi
today morning. Our leaders jointly met the Secretary, Telecom and Member (Finance) and
had discussion on the issue. Secretary informed our leaders that a revised Cabinet Note
is under preparation. It will be sent to the four Ministries (Law, Finance, Pension and
Heavy Industries) within 15 days for their opinion on the proposal.
It is mandatory.

Our effective actions in the case, has removed confusion and uncertainty.
We do hope that Telecom Commission will move the matter further  as promised.

IMPORTANT AND MOST IMPORTANT…!
HOW SOON?
Please refer our earlier posting in this Website on the letter from DoT to BSNL Corporate Office asking for DATA
on number of pensioners etc.
As all know, Department of Telecom is paying pension to BSNL retirees.
Naturally, DoT must have the DATA about the number of people it is paying pension to.
Instead of collecting the information from the CCA offices, the DoT
sent a letter on 13-3-2015 to CMD, BSNL to supply the DATA. It was marked as
MOST IMPORTANT.

After 13 days, on 26-3-2015, the BSNL Corporate Office has endorsed that letter to all Circles to supply the DATA
within ten days.  It is also marked as MOST IMPORTANT.
Some Circle Offices may do it. Some may reply that they do not have the DATA.
Some others will never reply even.

As our experiences show, many Circle Offices may ask the SSA offices to
Send the DATA.  The DoT will not get the complete DATA  in the near future.
That much IMPORTANT it is.
Because,  it is pensioners’ case.

ERRONEOUS TELEPHONE BILLS
Yesterday evening,  our leaders –
Comrades G.  Natarajan, P Gangadhara Rao and R Changappa -
met the GM (Admn) in BSNL Corporate Office and discussed the issue of
erroneous telephone bills issued to Concessional telephones of BSNL pensioners.

The GM assured that he would look into the matter immediately and
take remedial action, as deemed necessary.
